Campaign update
I was fortunate to have been invited to the White House to meet with Senior White House staff to address the current heroin epidemic.
Gloucester (MA) Police Chief Leonard Campanello, Keene (NH) Police Chief Brian Costa and several PAARI (Police Assisted Addiction Recovery Network) law enforcement partners had the opportunity to speak with the National Drug Control Policy Director Michael Boticelli, White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough and other senior officials. We had hoped that the members of Congress and the Senate passed an amendment to the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act of 2016 bill that would of added $1.1 billion for treatment, prevention, and recovery services.
